What subjects are included in MHT-CET 2026?

MHT-CET 2026 includes subjects based on the course group chosen by the student. The exam is designed to test knowledge from core science subjects studied in Class 11th and Class 12th.

For students applying to engineering courses (B.E./B.Tech), the subject combination is Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Mathematics is especially important for engineering aspirants, as it carries higher weightage in the exam compared to the other subjects.

For students interested in pharmacy courses (B.Pharm/Pharm.D), the subjects include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB). However, students with a Mathematics background can also apply for pharmacy, depending on eligibility criteria, which gives flexibility in subject choice.

The syllabus for all these subjects is mainly based on the Maharashtra State Board curriculum of Class 11th and Class 12th. Around 80% of the questions are asked from Class 12th topics, while the remaining 20% come from Class 11th. This means students should focus more on Class 12th concepts while also maintaining a strong base from Class 11th.

Each subject tests conceptual understanding, problem-solving ability, and application of basic principles. Questions are mostly direct but require clarity in fundamentals.
