Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is an undergraduate course that is three years long and is oriented towards computer science, programming, and software development. The fee for a BCA course is different depending on the nature of the institution (government or private), place, and other facilities offered. On average, government colleges have lower fees, between ₹20,000 and ₹75,000 per annum, while private colleges charge between ₹1,00,000 and ₹2,00,000 per annum. A few well-known private institutions or deemed universities can have even higher fees, provided they provide higher infrastructure, industry exposure, and placement support.
Aside from tuition, students can also be charged various additional amounts like hostel charges, exam charges, and material charges. Scholarships and financial aid schemes are possible in most colleges on merit, economic status, or reserved categories. Certain institutions also provide installment payment options or education loan facilities, thereby making it easier for students from financially different backgrounds to go for a BCA course.
