Usually, the process of admission for a CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) Diploma first involves the candidate meeting the eligibility criterion. Most colleges and institutes require the students to have passed out from 10th standard with a minimum percentage, which varies college-wise or institute-wise, mostly between 50-60%. Once the eligibility is confirmed, applicants can go ahead and fill up their application forms either online or offline, as is prescribed for every particular institution.
Some institutions conduct their own entrance exams, while others admit students based on merit, using marks from their previous academic qualifications.
Candidates after submitting their applications will be shortlisted for the counseling or a personal interview round as decided by the procedure of the institution. In this stage, the candidates may have to submit their academic records, identity proof, and other necessary documents.
In addition, some colleges also conduct entrance exams at state-level or national level to check on the technical aptitude of the candidates. On completion of counseling, candidates will be given their seats in institutions chosen by them.
