Once you complete your diploma and pass your official DGCA licensing exams, many different and exciting job roles open up for you depending on what you enjoy doing.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer: The senior person who does the final checks and officially certifies the aircraft for flight.
- Line Maintenance Technician: You stand right on the airport runway. When a plane lands, you only have a few minutes to do quick routine safety checks before it takes off again.
- Hangar Maintenance Engineer: You work inside massive airplane garages. You take apart the whole airplane to do deep detailed repair and overhaul operations that take many days to finish.
- Quality Assurance Officer: You act like the police of the hangar. You check the work of other mechanics to ensure every single repair follows strict DGCA safety standards.
