How many questions are asked in KEAM exam?

The KEAM exam consists of a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). These questions are divided among three main subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Each subject has a fixed number of questions, and together they form the complete paper.

Out of the total 150 questions:

  • Mathematics has 75 questions
  • Physics has 45 questions
  • Chemistry has 30 questions

This clearly shows that Mathematics carries the highest weightage in the exam, which makes it a very important subject for students, especially those aiming for engineering courses. A strong performance in Mathematics can significantly improve your overall score and rank.

All questions in KEAM are objective-type, meaning you have to choose the correct answer from the given options. Each correct answer carries 4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer, so accuracy is very important.

The exam is designed to test both your conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills based on the Class 11 and 12 syllabus. To perform well, students should practice a large number of MCQs, focus more on high-weightage topics, and manage their time efficiently during the exam.
