The Diploma in Fire Technology and Safety is a 3-year full-time course. It is specially designed to give students complete knowledge and practical skills in fire safety and emergency management within this time period.
The course is usually divided into six semesters. Each semester lasts about six months. During these semesters, students study different subjects related to fire prevention, industrial safety, rescue operations, and disaster management.
The first year mainly focuses on basic concepts. Students learn about fire science, safety principles, and the fundamentals of fire protection systems. In the second year, the subjects become more technical. You study industrial safety, risk assessment, safety laws, and advanced fire protection equipment. In the final year, the focus is more on practical training, real-life case studies, safety inspections, and project work.
Both theory classes and practical training are included throughout the three years. Students participate in fire drills, mock rescue operations, equipment handling sessions, and safety inspections. This practical exposure helps students understand real-world emergency situations.
The diploma in Electrical Engineering usually takes 3 years to complete. These 3 years are divided into 6 semesters, with each semester focusing on different subjects, lab work, and practical skills. During this time, you learn step by step — starting from the basics of electricity and circuits, and later moving into advanced topics like machines, power systems, and industrial wiring.
The semester-wise structure helps you manage the workload easily and gives you time for projects, practical training, workshops, and industry exposure. By the end of 3 years, you gain enough technical knowledge and hands-on experience to start working in the electrical industry or continue your studies through lateral entry into B.Tech.
