The Polytechnic in Electrical Engineering program runs for 3 full years, and the entire duration is divided into 6 semesters. Each semester focuses on different areas of electrical engineering so that students can gradually build strong technical knowledge.
During these three years, you study core subjects like electrical circuits, machines, power systems, control systems, wiring, and electronics. Along with classroom learning, you also spend time in workshops and labs where you work on motors, generators, transformers, instruments, and practical wiring setups.
The 3-year duration is ideal for students who want to enter the technical field early because it gives enough time to learn both theory and hands-on skills. After completing the diploma, students can either go for a job in power companies, industrial plants, manufacturing units, maintenance departments, and electrical service sectors, or they can continue their education by taking lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech Electrical Engineering.
