Do I need JEE for admission?

No, you don’t always need to qualify JEE to get into an aeronautical engineering college in India. While it's true that some of the top-tier institutions, such as IITs or NITs, require JEE Main or JEE Advanced scores for admission into their B.Tech Aerospace or Aeronautical programs, many private and emerging colleges offer alternative admission routes that are more accessible.

For example, Puran Murti Campus, one of the emerging aeronautical engineering colleges in India, offers direct admissions based on 10+2 marks or through national-level exams like AME CET (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Test). This makes it easier for students who may not have ranked high in JEE but still have a passion for aviation and aerospace technologies.

In fact, many private colleges, deemed universities, and AICTE-approved institutes across India allow merit-based admission, management quota seats, or their own entrance exams. These options are particularly helpful for students who want to enter the field but either didn’t attempt JEE or couldn’t achieve the required cutoff.

So, while JEE is necessary for getting into the most competitive government institutions, it is not mandatory for all aeronautical engineering colleges in India. You can still pursue your dream of becoming an aeronautical engineer through other recognized pathways. It’s more important that the college you choose is AICTE-approved, offers strong practical training, industry tie-ups, and placement support — like Puran Murti Campus does.
