Is the diploma course only theoretical, or practical too?

The Polytechnic in Automobile Engineering diploma is not just theoretical—it is highly practical. The entire course is designed to help students learn through real hands-on experience. You spend a lot of time working in well-equipped workshops and laboratories where you handle actual automobile components. This includes engines, gearboxes, braking systems, suspension parts, electrical systems, and even modern diagnostic tools used in today’s vehicles.

Students learn how to inspect vehicles, assemble and disassemble parts, identify faults, and repair different types of vehicles such as bikes, cars, and light commercial vehicles. Many colleges also offer regular industrial visits, internships, and live training sessions with automobile companies, which helps you understand how things work in the real automotive world.

Along with practical sessions, there are classroom lessons too, but they are always linked to real-life situations so you can easily apply what you learn in workshops. You also work on projects, CAD designing, and maintenance tasks, which prepare you for actual industry challenges.
