In a thought-provoking and inspiring session held at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, Amogh Leela Prabhu, Vice President of ISKCON Dwarka, addressed the rising concerns around youth addiction and distractions, warning that nations like Pakistan and China are intentionally trying to weaken Indian youth through the spread of drugs.

The event, titled Drive Against Drugs, was organized in collaboration with ISKCON Delhi, where Amogh Leela shared powerful insights into how young people can avoid these traps and rise to their true potential.

Drugs and Mobile Phones – The Hidden Weapons
Amogh Leela stated that todays youth are the future of India, but are being targeted via drugs and overuse of mobile phones. He stressed that students are losing valuable time to digital distractions like reels, YouTube, and social media. Since the arrival of Android phones, students focus has shifted drastically, he said. Instead of using technology, students are becoming slaves to it.

He warned that enemies of the nation, like Pakistan and China, are using these tools to derail Indias youth and make them unproductive. They know that if Indian youth remain focused, no one can stop India from becoming the greatest nation in the world.

The Power of Indian Talent
Citing the example of Silicon Valley, where over 40% of the workforce is Indian, Amogh Leela emphasized that Indian youth have immense potential. However, without discipline and focus, this potential remains untapped.

He encouraged students to keep away from drugs and smartphones and instead use their time for personal and academic growth. If we control our minds and actions, India will become a world leader, he declared.

Conclusion A Call to Action
Amogh Leela Prabhus message was clear and loud- If Indian youth desire to achieve greatness and bring glory to the nation, they should shun distractions in the form of drugs and mobile addiction. The battle for a great India begins in the forms of personal decisions — of purpose, hard work, and discipline.

Let this serve as a reminder that our real power is in our minds — let us guard it at all costs.
